There are three words written on the edges of the closed pages of my Bible - 'her joy remains.' They are not there by accident; I didn't write them on a whim. They spring from a lifetime of 'tests' that have turned into my 'testimony.'
These three simple words are there to remind me that no matter what life throws at me, His promises hold joy. In Him, my joy remains...always. And from that beautiful truth, the words of trust in God that I share here on Faith at the Farmhouse flow.
My mission is to be what I've affectionately come to call a Christian 'retention specialist.' I want to remind myself - and you when you read - exactly why we believe in this glorious God that we profess with our hearts and souls. I want to keep us all believing, no matter how rocky the road gets, or how much the secular world tells us that we're putting our eggs in what they believe to be an imaginary basket called Jesus.
I want to remind you of the beautiful and enduring works of our Savior in our simple, yet abundant lives, and - with words - paint joy in your days. I want your joy to remain, too!
Changing the world starts with dropping a pebble in your own little pond and creating a ripple...
You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. Lord my God, I will praise you forever.
Psalm 30:11-12
